Chris Elmore MP held his latest Cuppa with your MP at St David’s Church Hall in Laleston on Saturday 3rd October, giving local residents the opportunity to meet their MP and have an informal chat over a cup of tea or coffee.
Constituents raised a wide range of local and national issues during the session, including energy and energy security, pensions and potholes, as well as individual concerns and other matters affecting the local community.
Chris holds a Cuppa with your MP every month, taking the sessions to different communities across Bridgend & Porthcawl, particularly some of the smaller areas of the constituency. The events are deliberately informal, with no set agenda and everyone welcome to come along.
Chris said:
“Being accessible to the people I represent is incredibly important to me. These events are a chance to sit around the table, have a cuppa and talk about whatever is on people’s minds in a really relaxed setting.
“I hold regular advice surgeries across Bridgend & Porthcawl every month and also offer telephone and online appointments, so there are different ways for constituents to speak to me and my team.
“Constituents are also always welcome to email me with a question, an issue they need help with or something they think I should be aware of. My team and I are here to help wherever we can.”
Chris’s Cuppa with your MP events take place monthly. Details of the next session will be published on his Facebook page and here on his website.
