One of the most important parts of being your Member of Parliament is taking the time to listen.
While I spend a lot of time helping constituents with individual casework, attending community events and representing Bridgend & Porthcawl in Parliament, I also know that some of the most valuable conversations happen face to face over a cuppa.
That’s exactly what Cuppa with Your MP is all about!
Whether you’d like to raise a local issue, ask a question, share an idea or simply introduce yourself, you’re very welcome to come along. There’s no formal agenda, no speeches and no need to book an appointment β just an opportunity to have an informal conversation about the issues that matter to you.
I’m delighted that Councillor Heidi Bennett for Pen-y-Fai and Court Colman, who is also the Mayor of Bridgend County Borough, will be joining me. Together, we’ll be on hand to listen, answer questions where we can and discuss anything you’d like to raise.
I have always believed that being an MP means being visible, approachable and accessible. That’s why I regularly hold advice surgeries across the constituency, visit local businesses, schools and community groups, and organise events like this. Meeting residents and hearing directly about what’s important to you helps me represent our communities more effectively.
