Post Office Ltd has announced that the Dunraven Place branch in Bridgend will temporarily relocate due to redevelopment works at Wyndham House, where Valleys to Coast are beginning work to transform the building into their new headquarters.
The current branch will close at 5.30pm on Monday 29th June 2026, with services transferring to a temporary location at the Rhiw Shopping Centre on Caroline Street. The interim branch is due to open from 1.00pm on Tuesday 30th June 2026.
Chris Elmore MP has welcomed the fact that the Post Office has worked with Bridgend County Borough Council to secure a temporary town centre location, ensuring residents can continue accessing important postal and banking services while redevelopment work takes place.
Commenting on the announcement, Chris said:
“Post Offices play a vital role in supporting residents, families and local businesses, so it is important that services remain accessible during this period of change.
“I welcome the efforts made to secure a temporary location within Bridgend town centre while a longer-term solution is developed for the branch.
“I will continue engaging with the Post Office to ensure that a permanent and sustainable solution is secured for Bridgend and that the needs of residents remain at the forefront of future decisions.”
