Pendre Post Office in Bridgend is set to reopen on Tuesday, 1st July at 1pm, bringing back a vital local service after being closed since last year.

The branch, located at 24 Pendre, Bridgend, CF31 1PE, closed following the resignation of the previous postmaster. Now, it will reopen at the same location, offering the full range of Post Office services. The branch will operate during its usual hours: Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.

The closure of Pendre Post Office caused concern among many local residents, who rely on the branch for essential services. Since then, Chris Elmore MP has been actively engaging with Post Office representatives to help secure its reopening.

Speaking about the news, Chris Elmore MP said:

“This is a welcome development for the community. The Post Office plays an important role in daily life for many people in Pendre and the wider Bridgend area. I’m glad to see it reopening and restoring access to these important services.”

The reopening will provide much-needed convenience for residents who use the Post Office for everything from posting letters and parcels to banking services.
