Residents across Bridgend & Porthcawl are being urged to support Chris Elmore MP’s School Stationery Collection before donation points close on Monday 10th August.

The annual appeal, run in partnership with Bridgend Foodbank and Awen Libraries, helps ensure local children and young people have the essential stationery they need to start the new school year.

Chris Elmore MP said:

“We’re into the final few days of this year’s School Stationery Collection, and every donation will make a real difference to a local child or young person starting the new school year.

“If you’re able to pick up an extra pack of pens, pencils or notebooks while you’re shopping this weekend, please consider donating before the collection closes on Monday. Thank you to everyone who has already supported the appeal.”

The appeal is collecting new stationery items including pens, pencils, notebooks, rulers, rubbers, calculators, geometry sets and school bags.

Donations can be dropped off at:

  • Aberkenfig Library
  • Bridgend Library (Halo Centre)
  • Pencoed Library
  • Porthcawl Library
  • Sarn Library
  • Pencoed Swimming Pool
  • Ynysawdre Pool & Fitness Centre
  • First Class Learning, Bridgend Industrial Estate

Thank you to everyone who has already donated. If you’ve been meaning to support the appeal, there’s still time – please donate before collection points close on Monday 10th August.
