Summer is the perfect time to get out and explore everything our local area has to offer. Whether you’re looking for a family day out, a scenic walk, a fascinating piece of local history or somewhere peaceful to unwind, the Bridgend & Porthcawl constituency is home to some truly special places!

One of the greatest privileges of being your Member of Parliament is having the opportunity to visit communities right across the constituency. Every week, I’m reminded just how fortunate we are to have such a diverse and beautiful part of Wales to call home.

That’s why, throughout the summer, I’m highlighting some of these lovely locations on my Facebook page called Bridgend & Porthcawl’s Hidden Gems.

Each week, I’ll be shining a spotlight on a different location, sharing a little about its history, what makes it special and why it’s well worth a visit. Some will be well-known landmarks, while others may be hidden treasures that you’ve never explored before.

I hope the series encourages you to discover somewhere new, revisit an old favourite and make the most of everything our constituency has to offer this summer.

Keep an eye on my Facebook page (click here) over the coming weeks as we uncover some of Bridgend & Porthcawl’s hidden gems.
