In the run-up to Easter this year, the generosity of the Bridgend & Porthcawl community was on full display, as residents came together to support a hugely successful Easter egg collection!
Chris Elmore MP would like to extend his sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the initiative, which was run in partnership with Bridgend Foodbank and Awen Libraries. Thanks to the incredible support from local residents, hundreds of Easter eggs were donated and distributed to families across the community supported by the foodbank—bringing smiles to children and making Easter that little bit brighter.
With so many generous donations received, there were more Easter eggs than expected, allowing extra contributions to be shared with Bridgend Carers Centre and The Bridge in Bridgend town centre. Both organisations do fantastic work supporting local families and will make sure these additional eggs reach those who need them most, helping to spread even more Easter joy across the community.
Gratitude is also extended to the many local organisations that made generous contributions, including Bridgend College, Sony, Rockwool, Tondu Titans, Tesco, Principality, RR81, and many others who supported the appeal.

“I’ve been truly touched by the generosity and kindness shown by people across our community. The success of this appeal is a real reflection of the strong local spirit we have across Bridgend & Porthcawl. Thank you to everyone who donated, to Awen Libraries for all their help, and to Bridgend Foodbank for their ongoing dedication. Your support will make a real difference to many families this Easter. I wish all constituents a very happy and peaceful Easter.”
