Are you part of a local charity or organisation supporting people to build skills and move into employment across Bridgend & Porthcawl?
Last month, I was pleased to host a Funding Advice Day at the Hi Tide in Porthcawl, bringing together a range of funders to help local groups explore the support available to them. One of the organisations that attended was National Grid Electricity Distribution, who offer a number of initiatives, guidance and funding opportunities for community projects.
They have now launched their £250,000 Community Matters Fund, designed to support projects that improve employability and help people develop future skills. Local charities and organisations are encouraged to apply, with a deadline of 5pm on Thursday 23rd April.

Chris Elmore MP said: “It was fantastic to bring so many funders together at our recent Funding Advice Day. The Community Matters Fund is a great example of the kind of support available to local organisations, helping them to develop projects that improve employability, build future skills and make a real difference in our communities. I would encourage eligible groups across Bridgend & Porthcawl to explore this opportunity and apply.”
